The first Chapter of CityLight was established in Columbia, SC in 1997 and is led by Gladys Grimaud and Pastor Redfern II.

1997 - Sponsored Tony Evans Crusade, 80,000 attended and 10,000 responded to alter call.

1999 - Led the way to help defeat Video Poker in *S.C.

2000 - Sponsorer City wide Easter Sunrise survice at Williams-Brice Stadium - 35,000 attendees.

2001 - First Call to Prayer Conference

2002 - First annual Call to Care Conference

2003 - Sponsored Community Kids Camp,800 children in attendance

2004 - Kids Count 10 indicators for child well being

2005 - First responder to Biloxi, Mississippi for Katrina Relief

2006 - Collected 400 winter coats for Homeless

CITYLIGHT PURPOSE:

To issue an international call to prayer in order that the nations be healed. The call to prayer begins locally with the establishment of a CityLight Chapter (Prayer Group). CityLight acts as a catalyst of hope by promoting unity of belivers which culminats in service to community. CityLight exists so that God's Light can shine on the dark places in the city.

CITYLIGHT VISION STATEMENT:

To bring light to the world by responding to the prayer of Christ for complete unity with God and other believers.
"I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." (John 17: 22-23)

To be a catalyst for unity in order to lift up Christ and empower churches for service to community.
